There has been a lot of air craft that I did not like. These air craft I would verbally slam in a heart beat. But some of these aircraft has grown on me some and some has not, but I'm going to list them now.

L 1011
Reason why: I thought they toke away from the DC10 thunder, also for a short time I was not a Rolls Royce fan and it was power by Rolls Royce engines.

Did it grow on me?
Yes! It one of my favorite aircraft now

A330
Reason Why: Aer Lingus replaced there 747 fleet with them.
Did it grow on me?
A little

737
Reason Why: It is Boeing cheap answer to the BAC 1-11 and DC-9, and it's under powered.

Did it grow on me?
It's beginning to grow on me.

767
Reason Why: A cheap answer to the L1011 and DC10 also boring to look at.

Did it grow on me?
No! Not yet away.

F-18 E/F
Reason Why: Replaced the greatest plane the USN ever had.

Will it grow on me?
Only time will tell.

So what is your list.

737's old generations--I used to think that they are not safe. Now, I am over it of course..

A310's.. They are old and worn out.

Types that have grown on me;

B727, I was always frightened of it, now though I kick myself because I could have flown on it so many times with IB but chose not to. I'm going to have to go a long way to get on one now Sad

DC10, although I loved the noise from the engines it also scared me rigid because of all the smoke and steam pouring from the air conditioning vents when I took off on a German registered aircraft from LGW, again I was very young. It grew on me quickly though!

Dash 8's also worried me for a while, because one crashed at PLH and I really didn't fancy flying on them. Now though I fly them every few weeks and am very much over my fear of them!

That's about it,

I was a United fan in the beginning of my aviation love affair because of their DC-10s. Probably still am to this day, I suppose. BUT......hired on with Delta and hated the L-1011 TriStar. What the heck is an Lockheed TriStar?

Now: Just the opposite has happened. Learning about how advanced the TriStar had become and the sound of the MAGNIFISCENT Rolls-Royce engines. You just can't beat the angle of the plane at Cruise, the nose pitches up just ever so slightly. Plus, the stylized "Ding" sound is unmistakable when the "Fasten Seatbelt" sign illuminates, RIGHT?!

Similar to me I always prefered the Dc 10 over the L1011 but now it is one of the top ten of my favorite airliners ever build.

Also I was never a big fan of the Dc 8 Super 70 series and the 757 but now I like them as well

Personally, I really hate the 757. It is so ugly, IMO. Even though, every time I fly I usually fly on the 757, I hate it. It looks so puny.

For me, it's...

A300/A310 - can't really say why, but maybe it's because I haven't experienced more than a single flight on these that I'd call comfortable - and that one flight was only comfortable, because there were only about 40-50 people on board...

B737 - completely non-fact-bases aversion; I simply don't like them, don't feel comfortable on them - but if they're on the schedule and impossible to avoid, I'll fly on them (with the rational side of my brain constantly telling me not to worry, and the emotional side of my brain constantly telling the rational side to shut up  Wink)

B777 - too loud for longhauls - and other than this one negative point, I've not found a single positive point about these planes that could even that out. I don't mind flying them on shorthauls, where noise is less of a criteria.

And, no, all are not growing on me; the only one on which I'm seeing a sort-of 'stabilization' is the B737, but that's probably because it's already hit rock-bottom... the B777 just went down a couple more notches 9 days ago on my FRA-ORD flight on one of those planes.

Smile - it confuses people!

A310. So damn Ugly.

Will it grow on me?
Nope, not a chance.

737. Too low, cramped compared to A320, ryanair have them

Will it grow on me?
No, I book my trips and avoid them.

767. Poor mans 777  Smile
Will it grow on me?
Already has its great for long haul haha

A340-2/3 - TINY engines
Will it grow on me?
Yep it has because its so damn comfortable in flight compared to a Boeing Twin!

Thanks
Alex

The A330:
I though it was the enemy of the 747 when EI got them and got rid of the 747s
It has grown on me a lot, I now love flying EI across the pond on an A330-200.

The 737:
Hated most of my flights on them with any airline.
Has it grown on me? No. I'm so glad Aer Lingus, BA and Bmi all have A320s!

The 777:
Looks good but I have only had a few flights on them so it may grow on me.

767-

Usually the reason I like an airliner is because there is something
really special about them that sets them apart. When I look at a 767,
I see a very awkward looking airplane. There just doesn't seem to be anything eye catching or ear catching about them. I've flown on AC's so many
Times that sometimes I never want to see one again.
I want to like these planes but so far I can't find a reason, so if there is something really amazing about them, please tell me!

Did it grow on me?

Maybe just a little bit, they do fly after all!

737-

I dunno, sometimes it seems like people think the 737 is the only
plane there is and that gets on my nerves.
I just got sick of them after flying on/ hearing about them five million times.
This doesn't apply to AS though, every flight's always been special.

Did it grow on me?

Absolutely! I took a closer look and was amazed.

Well I think the 757 is one of the most beautiful machines ever built.

Reason: Flown on so many times to the point I was sick of them
Grown on me?: YES! LOVE 'EM!

RJ-85
Reason: Flown on so many times to the point I was sick of them
Grown on me?: Yes

747-100
Reason: Bad experience
Grown on me?: I'll fly on one...

727-200

Grown on me?: Yep

DC-10-30
Reason: Bad experience. A wierd alarm scared the crap outta me!
Grown on me?: Yeah...

747SP
Reason: Butt-ugly
Grown on me?: Nope

A380
Reason: WHAT THE HECK IS THIS THING!?!?
Grown on me?: He he he...  Wink

DC-9. Never liked them before, partly because I flew them constantly on US & NW when I was younger, but I think they're pretty cool now.

MD-88. I've flown them a lot more than any other plane & I don't like how cramped they feel compared to other mainline jets. Other than that, they're ok.

Has is grown on me? A little.

737: Cramped and flown to the point that I am sick of it.
Has it grown on me? Yes.

A340: Bad expierience, and IMHO inferior to the 777.

BAC 1-11- cramped, noisy and shook the entire way from STN to DUB
Has it grown on me- no, because I'll never be on one again

B777- massive wings block out window seat view for most the plane, especially after asking for a window seat and having the captain telling us how wonderful the view was
Has it grown me- maybe if I'm sitting further forward (i.e First Class)

Embraer ERJ-175LR and 190- Great from a passenger and pilots perspective, but they are my least fav on the bottom 1/2 of the plane... the holds are very wearing on your knees and back being only a few feet high...

But i must say they make a great plane to fly on...!
