Hey a.net members,
I am flying to LAX from MCO for Xmas. I have 3 possible airlines AA, DL, or UA. UA is the cheapest then DL then AA. I usually fly DL to LAX then back from LAX to MCO I go on UA. This time the cheapest route is to go to LAX with UA and back with UA. The UA flight to LAX is on a A320 and the way back is A319. With DL its a 757 to LAX and a 737-800 back to MCO. On AA its on a 757 both ways. By the way, I am traveling with an infant. Also, I get miles from UA. What is the most comfortable flight when traveling with an infant on your lap? What do you think I should choose?

It sounds like you just answered your own question. If you are traveling in coach, the comfort level will be about the same for all three. I guess it just comes down to who offers the best price and shcedule.

I fly this route a lot on both UA and DL. When I fly UA and the schedule says A320 it almost always gets subbed with an A319 or 757, so don't take much stock in the A320. The seats on the A319 aren't too bad, but the IFE isn't the best. If you fly a DL 757 you may have Song-type IFE which is nice, but I find the seats to be less comfortable. I'm flying to MCO tomorrow AM...but this time BUR-MCO on Jet Blue...while it's still around! However you go, enjoy your flight!

99% of the time it's an A320, the 757 chance is almost non-existent. I'd go with United, they've got great IFE, food if you want, and not to mention Channel9.

Isn't MCO-LAX the only flight that UA does out of MCO that isn't a TED flight now?

SFO-MCO also is 2 class, using a B757 for international connections.
LAX-MCO has avoided TED and stayed 2 class due to UA having the Disney Corporate account.

Disagree. I'm sure that the route still sees some A320s, especially in the off-season. But that route is published most of the year with 757s...some A319s. And when that flight has been listed as an A320 when I flew it (which is VERY often) 75% of the time or more a 757 has been parked at the gate...Could be an A320 but the chance of a 757 is much higher than you are describing.

Usually, when I fly DL I get the ex-Song plane with the PTVs. You are right the seats and the legroom are not the best. UA is better is seat wise and legroom wise. DL has one advantage over UA, the PTVs. Oh well, I think I will stick with UA.

No there is MCO-SFO, MCO-LAX, and MCO-MIA on an express flight (ERJ135/145 I think).
Quoting LAXdude1023 (Reply 8):
UA's A319's and A320's will receive PTV's when Pigs start brushing their teeth.
LOL!!! What a dumb question to ask.
So, I haven't heard any good things on MCO-LAX with AA. Is it better than UA and/or DL?
