(apologies in advance if this is a duplicate thread)
With one of the biggest flying weekends of the year coming up, it should be interesting to see where a.netters are flying this holiday. Maybe we can have a little competition to see who is traveling the farthest.
Here's my rough itinerary:
Thurs. 11/23 - BOS-CLT-CAE on US Airways (757 connecting to CRJ)
Sun. 11/26 - CAE-DCA-BOS on US Airways (CRJ connecting to A319)

I was talking with a TSA manager last Tuesday and he said IAH is estimated to get more passengers on the Wensday before Thanksgiving than any other airport in the world.

Wed 11/22 - ATL-DFW on DL1059 with a MD-88
Sun 11/26 - DFW-ATL on DL943 with a 757
Even though I could non-rev, I'm not even chancing it. I bought a ticket for $230 R/T. Not too bad I don't think!

I'd say that's a pretty safe bet. And for those posters who mentioned that they're going home for Thanksgiving, you should join the a.net Facebook group, if you haven't already.
Of course, almost everyone's flying back on Sunday. When I was pricing my trip, looking at flying into Charlotte on B6, the return fare on the 26th was easily 2.5 or 3 times the fare for flying down there on Thursday. There's supply and demand for you.

Nov 19: ACV-SFO (EMB 120); SFO-DEN (777!!!!) and DEN-MCI (757)
Nov 24: MCI-DEN (CR7); DEN-SFO (757) and SFO-ACV (EMB 120)
All on UA and UA-Ex of course.
I flew on the 777 for the first time last Thanksgiving (SFO-DEN) while on my way from Humboldt to KC. UA revised my flight schedule after I purchased the ticket, so I was able convince the reservation agent to rebook my return trip through ORD instead of DEN so I could ride in a 777 a second time. Since then, I have flown on the 777 in Asia (CX BKK-HKG and HKG-TPE). The Triple 7s are a treat to fly on!! Now if UA-Ex would only send a few CRJ's up to ACV like they did a few years ago.......
I'm leavin on a jet plane. Don't know when I'll be back again....

Do they have some sort of Thanksgiving holiday in the UK, or is it just an American thing?
