A lot depends on the airline and it's product.

But with my experience, speaking of econo class, I find the B747 very uncomfortable as it's too crowded for my liking. The B767 was a very comfortable cabin and the A340 has by far the quietest.

Comfortable - A340-300
Least - Cri Cri (forget the spelling but look it up) I sat in one when my father had the great idea of buying it, having fun with it then giving it to me so i could build some multi time. HAHA. Well so far I am still without it.

The most uncomfortable airliner I've been on is the EMB-145. I've ridden with several different operators and that narrow cabin and the hard seats make it a groaner for me.
Since the seat pitch and seat width are the option of the operators, it's hard to say which other airliner is the most comfortable.
I've ridden on Singapore Airlines in the A340, the 747-400, and the 777-200 and they all are more comfortable than any other operator that I've flown with.

Most uncomfortable that I've been on has to be the CR2 and the J41

The most uncomfortable was definetly the Pinnacle CRJ I was on.

The most comfortable, a tie between the BA A319 and the UA Express CRJ-700. Very comfortable seats.

In coach class the 777 has a 3/3/3 configuration, does it not?

I can only speak for UA international 777:

2-5-2 in Y
2-3-2 in C
1-2-1 in F

I'm almost certain AA has the same configuration.

Different airlines have different configs. AA and UA have 2-5-2, most others have 3-3-3. There even is 2-4-3 on MD-11s (but not as far as I know on B777s).

what do you think ?

I really don't think you know what you're talking about. An aircraft itself is not comfortable or uncomfortable. It all has to do with how the airline configures the interior.

Quoting N231YE (Reply 15):
767-400ER

Is that just because it is your favorite aircraft or what? On DL, economy is the same all around, but up in Biz, there is more pitch on a 763 and a 772 than their 764. The same goes for CO, minimal difference in economy, while more space up front on their 762 and 772.

I don't mean to sound rude or like I am attacking anyone, but a majority of this thread is just all wrong. An aircraft is not just comfortable or uncomfortable, props excluded, it completely depends on the carrier. Therefore just naming off an aircraft without pairing it to an airline sounds not only uneducated, but extremely opinionated as to what your favorite and least favorite aircraft in general are.

Why a 200? Why not a 300 or a 400? Which airline are you referring to? Your post is exactly what my previous one is based off of.

CRJ-100/200 is the most uncomfortable for me. Even in the exit rows (I can't remember the last time I didn't get an exit row on this plane), it's bad.

As for most comfortable, I'm only going to compare Y (since basically, a Y seat is a Y seat, discounting gimmicks like PTVs etc) - I enjoy the M80 and the 767; I really like the 2-person side, as I'm a window guy and that means only climbing over one person.
