I'm neither but I can speak on behalf of the AC crew that took us from SYD to HNL two weeks ago. The flight was bumpy for the entire nine hours but the last two were downright violent. Upon arrival in HNL, I asked the purser if that was the worst he's ever been through to which he replied, "not the worst, but even I was worried for a bit."

I don't get scared for safety or anything per se, but two things primarily worry me about turbulence:
1. It will get so bad that someone gets injured and we have to divert
2. It doesn't get that bad, but it's bad enough to preclude any cabin service. My last flight on Frontier was like this (not to mention the turbulence somehow made the TVs quit working)
