I herd that 707s had a very loud cabin, and I was wondering what Boeing jetliners had the loudest amount of cabin noise. I have have flown on original, classic and New Generation 737s, and I believe 737 are on the list. I herd a Tristar has a higher amount of cabin noise than a 747 classic, so I do not think 747 will the list. When I say cabin noise, I mean noise coming from the engine into the cabin.

Depends on where you sit, the worst for me personally was the sitting next to an MD-80 engine, but it is fine if you are sitting in the front or middle of that A/C. The 707 probably for jets as a general winner, because others like the 727 would be loud depending on seat location and when the correct speed was reached.

Quoting ACDC8 (Reply 1): The 737-200 would be a contender for sure.
I agree, I flew AS 732C yesterday ANC-DLG and was in the very last row(18D) and had my Zune turned most of the way up and the A/C was still louder. I fly them regularly, but I think the 732 takes it for me. I havent been on a 727 in a very long time though.
