CO Avod On The 737-800?

hi i have another topic on continental 737-800 if you need more info on what i'm talking about. CO 737-800 First Class.... (by JamesJimlb Dec 27 2006 in Aviation Polls & Prefs)

now to bussiness. does the 737-800 on CO have AVOD or audio video on demand?

Our 738s are fitted with overhead monitors for the movie. We are currently outfitting new 738s and retro fitting them to have AVOD (audio and video on demand) in first class.

Our 752s have the AVOD system in Business/First. Y/C will be getting said system as well.

All I am saying as on your other thread is they are being installed on 800's, slow as it may be the chance does exist. There are more 800's that CO is going to be taking delivery on in 2007 so the chances increase with each month.

WOW it will mean we both are flying in June with tickets already bought!! Smile

Probably not mean a thing, just enjoy the fine service and ride, forget about the entertainment system, you'll have one either way on an 800 if they don't sub it.

I hate to rain on everybody's parade, but AVOD/inseat power installation for our 738 fleet has been put on indefinite hold. CO has opted to install another row of first class seats in the 738 fleet. So, until that MOD is done I wouldn't expect to see AVOD on these a/c until sometime next year.

Is it broke...? Yeah I'll fix it.

Yeah right until you are the last upgrade on the 20 seat first class cabin of the CO B738 on the IAH-ANC nonstop.....now you want your AVOD or your seat in 10E for the next 6 hrs and 40 minutes? Smile

10 years from now the airlines will be competing with each other by seeing who can offer better AVOD to their passengers. Now there's one thing I can thank B6 for!

The proper term is "on final" not "on finals" bud...
