In may I will be flying from ATL to TLV. Thanks to another thread, http://www.airliners.net/discussions/aviation_polls/read.main/112358/, I picked between an AC and LH combination and a DL and Alitalia combination and chose the AC and LH combination. Now I'm having a lot of trouble deciding on an exact itinerary. On the way to TLV, I will fly ATL-YYZ-FRA-TLV. Between YYZ and FRA, I can fly either an AC A333 or an LH A346. I haven't flown either type (though I have flown A343s and A332s). I have flown LH, but I have never flown AC. However, I will be flying TLV-YYZ on AC for the return. What are your opinions on the service of each airline and the comfort of each aircraft?

Difficult situation you've got there... at least from my viewpoint, I'd always greatly prefer the A340 over an A330, but you've got the difficulty that that would land you on LH, something that I try to avoid on longhauls...
Then again, with that choice, I'd probably be sitting on LH's A340-600.

What flight do you take from FRA to TLV? LH offers two flights a day. LH 686 is operated in the morning with a 744, the evening flight LH 690 is operated on an A346. So maybe you have the chance to enjoy the A333 from YYZ to FRA by AC and take the A346 from FRA to TLV by LH.

I would also go for the LH 346. The only noticeable difference between the the A333 and A343 is that one has 2 engines and the other has 4. If you look at Air Canada's website, the measurements are exactly the same. The difference inside is that the A333 has more Executive Class seats. If you have been on a 343, you probably won't notice any difference. Apparently, though, the LH 346 is beautiful. Don't know about seat pitch. AC is 31" or 32", pretty standard I guess.
The only thing a customer should expect for his/her loyalty is good service

Thank you for all of your responses! I'll answer a couple of questions that some of you posed.
I will taking the morning flight from FRA to TLV, so I will be on the 744, which means there is only one leg of the trip that I could fly on an A346. That's fine with me though. I've never flown a 747, so I would choose that over anything else.
I will definitely be flying in Y. Business or first would be great, but I can fly roundtrip to TLV and spend over a month in Israel for about half of what a business class ticket would cost me. Furthermore, I only have enough money for the plane ticket and the time I'll be there.
I'm leaning towards the A346 for this trip, but I'm still not sure. How do AC and LH compare for service on longhaul flights? I know LH is decent since I've flown LH, but I've never flown AC.

I would go with Lufthansa on this one.
In the last Zagat International Airline Survey (2005), Lufthansa outranked Air Canada in service, comfort, and food on international flights. Air Canada had higher satisfaction with its website. Lufthansa was preferred on average over Air Canada.
Although for the record, if I were you I would have just gone with DL non-stop unless it was prohibitively expensive, but that's just me. In this case now I'd pick LH.
