Today it seems that so many F/A uniforms look alike. Once upon a time airlines dressed their cabin crew to attract attention or set themselves apart. The first of these were the over-the-top 'Air Strip' uniforms designed by Pucci for Braniff in the 1960's. TWA had paper outfits for their hostesses to promote 'A Taste Of Europe Flying In The USA.' Staff wore Roman togas, or were dressed as French maids and English serving wenches. And of course there were the Hot Pants used by PSA and Southwest. Does anyone remember outlandish outfits on other carriers? (This does not include native dress such as kimono on JAL, saris on Air India or even kilts on British Caledonian)

The current Easyjet uniforms are rather different. (Yes, I know new, more traditional uniforms are in the works)

why dont you just check out www.uniformfreak.com . a site run by a man who loves nothing more than to collect old airline uniforms and display them all on the internet on a very scary Mannequin.

Quoting Kearney (Reply 6): From what I have heard, All Airlines in the Star alliance have or are making a standard uniform. The only differences will be in the colour.

You realise that would mean TG and SQ getting rid of their Asian style uniforms.
Still, I don't think anything beats the Braniff Pucci uniforms for crazyness, particularly the one with the bubble hat/helmet thingy
