I have the opportunity to fly EK from JFK to HAM next week for less that $400 USD R/T. I figure on going just to spot and take photos at HAM for a couple of days. Would you grab this opportunity at such a good fare? What can I expect on EK Y class? Any window seat recommendations or seats to avoid (the 300ER is not listed on Seat Guru)? Off topic, any recommendations for HAM spotting?

Running fairly empty hence the deals so get on last and sit where you like, economy should be fairly comfortable and of course you have the ICE sytem, HAM rather boring though, I can think of better places to go. If you book get back to me and ill give you the loads.

I am going to fly EK from HAM to DXB and then to DEL next month.
How flying EK iswould interest me too.
HAM is not that interesting for spotting but the city is nice.
However, don't hesitate to visit the Airbus plant. There are guided tours through the plant, but dono how to book it. Maybe you can spot an A380.
Ufortunately, flight frequencies at Airbus are very low.
I would try to get to FRA for spotting. LH flies to FRA every hour and it is only a 50 minutes ride. (Prices vary between 99 to 500 € for a return flight.)
Or try to get to FRA by train. It's about 4 hours. (Prices vary between 50 and 200 €)
