hey all,

i'm flying to the grand old city of st. petersburg to visit my girlfriend in late march. my dates are 18/3/07 (or later) until the 31/3/07 (flexible, within 3 days). what advice do you have for someone who doesn't mind connecting (but no overnights, please) or russian airlines/equpiment?

thanks in advance,

toni

My advice in which way? Price, airline, aircraft....

In price, my advice is to take Air France way from 431.00 Euros (Tax Incl); in airline and aircraft my advice is to take Aeroflot (nice to fly in the new A319's to MOW and the TU3 to LED from there).

I don't know if I solve your doubts...

FV nonstop HAM - LED
Amadeus.net shows a Tu-154 outbound and B735 inbound for that very dates, but a Tu-154 on 01-APR (and at a later time).

Or come to HAJ and get a Tu-204 HAJ - LED on FV
B735 on the return (31-MAR) or Tu154 on 01-APR

Hopefully you will not get a last-minute replacement by a (in this case boring) B735 ...
Enjoy your ride and the stay.

Will you find some time to share your experiences and put them into a trip report ?

yup, sure thing, if you like  Smile. i'm hoping for an equipment shift the other way - a tu-134. now that would be something  yes .

really looking forward to it though - and, imo, a reasonable price for the experience.

mit freundlichen Grüßen aus Hamburg!
