Okay, you're gonna get slamed by people tellin you that is a stupid question. Personally I think it's an odd question, in fact I'm laughing. A hijacker is not a celebrity dude.

Didn't a pilot a while back get off a plane at LAX and saw his buddy, Jack, (another pilot) get off a plane and he did yell "HI JACK"? I heard that story from somewhere.

You met the guy for reals? Where or how, I should say? Or do you mean on TV and you're just pulling chains?

Go to the middle east as say that, and see what reaction you get. I am sure there are plenty out there that think that Atta is quite the celebrity.

I have met 4 hijackers. The 9/11 dudes used to fly on HP alot and when they flew out to LAS for a meeting prior to 9/11 they flew HP. I met 2 of them when they returned to MIA as I greated the plane and helped the passengers get the luggage. Of course I did not realise it until later that they were going to be famous. I also checked in two buttheads many years ago in LAS traveling on a KeyAir charter to JFK who got drunk in the bar and decided it would be fun to hijack the plane to PuertoRico while it was still at the gate in LAS. The plane was evacuated and towed to the box for a complete search and the buttheads got a close and personal tour of the Clark County jail where they were charged and convicted of the hijacking.
