I'm flying to London in December and was looking at different airlines. Can anyone tell me about Maxjet? I know they are a semi-low cost business class airline, and they fly 762s/762ER's but how is their service?

Sure, bud... I read in a travel magazine about Maxjet. The businessman flying them was extremely disappointed. The worst part he said was the rude employees. IIRC, he called Maxjet to complain and the telephone operater threatened to say that he was lying.
I will try to find the article and post it in this thread if I can find the magazine.
The proper term is "on final" not "on finals" bud...

I had the option of booking Maxjet today for my trip to ATL, they've got a great fare of gbp599 return from STN to JFK. I needed to do some other stuff on my trip so it worked out to be too much unfortunately, would have liked to give them a try. At least my next trip puts me within touching distance of retaining my BD Silver card with another 8 months to go!

My one experience was excellent. I used Maxjet from IAD to STN and then connected on LCC to Scotland. Very quick check-in at IAD and then the express security line for business/first class passengers. Then to NW lounge and later a direct boarding from the lounge w/o going back into the terminal hallways. Seats, service, stafff were terrific and food was excellent. Not business like Virgin or BA but one hell of a deal at less than $1000 round-trip and large seats that reclined but not totally flat. Seating was 2-2-2 for entire plane. Return was just as nice with a very nice lounge at the very end of the concourse so you had views of traffic on three sides. Wi-fi available if I'd had my laptop along. Service again was top notch for the price and staff were some of the most attentive and friendly I've experienced. I had decided that for European trips I was definitely going to checkout connecting through STN to use Maxjet trans-atlantic. Problem is after that it's LCC for the remainder of the travel and European LCCs are definitely cattlecars. My ONLY disappointment is that Maxjet has apparently suspended IAD service in order to concentrate on JFK and LAS service.
