Does anyone have any recommendations for online travel agents for cheap business class flights to MEL. I have been looking on www.ebookers.com, and fares seem to be consistently high (around £3000 each), and since there is 4 adults flying, the price is a large factor. So, does anyone know any good sites and any tips to find cheaper flights?

All help is appreciated,
EK77W

If you could give us:
Date outbound
Date inbound
Airport to leave from,
this would help in searching ...

Have you tried the usual stuff like
expedia opodo ?

OTOH, MEL is quite a ride and 3000 GBP looks rather "fair" for that distance ...

oh...sorry

we are looking at flying around 07/07/07 and returning about 11/08/07. Leaving from LHR.

Ive tried both, but are just as expensive.

The reason I am asking if it can be cheaper as I flew from LHR to MEL two years ago and got a fare of roughly £2000.

Only half an answer ...:

http://www.skyways.de/flug.html (in German language only, in field "Klasse wählen" select "PremiumEcomomy, Business & First" ; the other fields should be self explaining; dates are as DD.MM.YY ) has numerous available (!) flights in Business Class out of FRA on that very dates you stated to MEL.
Prices are in Euros and including all taxes, so it is about 2/3 that amount in GBP:

TG via BKK : 3340 EUR
MH via KUL : 3260 EUR
EK via DXB: 3300 EUR (similar fares & availabilities on EK also out of HAM, DUS and MUC)
Each carrier has more than one flight option per day.

NZ in its Premium Economy Class is only slightly cheaper at 3000 EUR, but having a different routing:
FRA-LHR (!!!)- LAX- AKL - MEL or FRA-LHR-HKG-AKL-MEL (return via AKL-LAX-LHR only).

It therefore might be a financially interesting option to get a cheap flight to mainland Europe (in this case: "Germany") and then catch one of the flights mentioned above ...

Sofar I was not able to find similar fares out of LHR. Best sofar is EK at 2730 GBP out of LHR, LGW, BHX or MAN on expedia.co.uk

Hi, have a look at http://www.airline-network.co.uk

For the dates you mentioned they show £ 2737 with EK.

Hope this help...
