I Google(d) for airliner videos (just planes, flying pig, etc.), and this site showed up. I eventually joined First Class to see this and that which you can't, otherwise. Bought videos are STILL more interesting than Discovery Wings. By the way, at O'Hare, the end of Concourse F is a wonderful place to watch 3-4 active runways (RJ's and 747-400's landing on the same runway!). It is all windows and can get a little warm in the afternoon sunshine (AA and UA RJ's forever on the left). I laid over 3-4 hours each way on a trip and waited out the competition for the seats nearest the windows. I knew I was in the right place when a couple of geeky guys showed up with fancy camera gear. As I suspected, some of their pictures showed up here! -Jan in Iowa

Waaaaaay back in the summer of 2000, when I started working Operations for Spirit Airlines in TPA, I had daily access to the internet through the Fli - Fo system. I was poking around tying to fing airplane pics when a co-worker said "Do you ever check-out Airliners.net?" I said "Huh?" They punched it in for me and from that moment on I was an addict.

Well, that's hard! I'm reading posts and l watch at pictures here for like at least 2 years, but I joined this may. I do not have a visacard and my parent's would pay because "it is unsafe to pay through internet" (according to them)etc, but in May I finally convinced them Big grin! But I believe I also did a search at a search engine.

I found this website about a couple of years ago from web search... and i said to myself... how boring and look at all the geeks in their A Vs B groupies...

but then came along the A380 photos and its drama... the interest in the 7E7 revolution, USA vs the world politics... and wow, this forum is actually very interesting... Sometimes for a laugh, sometimes for duhhhhhhhhhhhh, and a lot of times to read my fellow world citizens interesting points...

But I ended joining recently and sharing my love of aviation and of course an opinion or two... my friends get annoyed when I point out different makes and models... I guess I turn to kid again at the airport.. always reminisce of flying TAP's L1011's to Lisbon when I was a young one... ahhhh...

Airbus or Boeing - it's all good to me!

I found it one day when I was doing a search for Northeast Airlines last fall; just to see what if anything would come up. One of the various web-sites had a link to the A.net photo database. I checked out some other photos and started reading the civil aviation forums.

After several months of almost finding myself ready to jump out with a comment or a question on a particular post, I decided to join about 2 months ago.

The rest is history.  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Back in the early days of Flight Simulator FS95 I was trying to find addon planes. I tried typing in relevant websites, that's how I found Flightsim.com and then came to airliners.net in my search for civil airliner addons.

My first time on the internet back in 1997 at work. Typed in airliner photos and found the website. I first looked at the photos of Piedmont YS-11s. There
were 20,000 photos by that time I believe.

I was reading an early eddition of Airways and I came across a full page, color ad for Airliners.net. The ad had a picture of the a.net homepage so I decided, why not? And the rest is history.
