While not "airside", the Westin at DTW's McNamara Terminal at least has its own access to a security check.

Dubai has an airside hotel (above the terminal). I believe it is five star. Pretty good..................... Havn't tried it though......

There aren't that many airside hotels in the industry, but thousands landside.

SIN has two transit hotels. The one in Terminal One has some rooms with windows and and excellent views of the ramp. The one in Terminal Two is has no wiondows at all. Both represent amazing value for money, especially if you opt for the budget rooms which are not en-suite. Showers are located close by for these rooms.

If taking a trip to/from Australia it makes great sense to break the the journey, e.g. take a flight from Australia that arrived SIN in the afternoon, sleep in the transit hotel and get a good nights rest, then an onward morning flight to Europe. It makes the whole journey (1) much more restful, (2) one can enjoy the amazing Changi Airport and (3) cuts back on jetlag too.

As long as you have an onward boarding pass it is possible to exit Immigration and go into SIN city if you so wish (very easy on the train) and then return back and proceed airside again.

The two hotels can be booked on line and do not need to be paid for in advance. I have used Changi several times and never had any problems. I would never dream of going to Australia without a Nice rest at Changi!

KUL is very similiar too.

SIN has two great transit hotels.
Has HKG also a good and cheap transit hotel for pax like me? I flying to Australia/Brisbane with CX and had to wait 13 hours in HKG for my flight to BNE.

With 13 hours to spend you could also opt to take the train to downtown (i.e. Kowloon or Hong Kong Island).

Apart from that, IIRC there is only the Regal Airport Hotel which is landside, but immigration should be no real problem.

The Transit Hotel at ICN is airside, and is really nice. I used it for an overnight stop between SYD & PVG.

No need to go through immigration, customs and there's just a short security check when you get off one flight to go back upstairs to the departure level. Just make sure you have the basics needed for the overnight stop in your carry-on, as you have no access to your checked luggage - it must be tagged and checked through to your final destination.

Oh, I don't think "sin" is allowed in Singapore!
