What Do People Think Of Jetblue?

Was just surfing through some airline websites and spent quite a bit of time flicking through Jetblue's homepage/website and I must say, was quite impressed. I have never flown on them, and was interested to know what people's thoughts on them were-do they serve snacks that you can purchase? (there doesn't seem to be any mention of this on the site). And what is the service like?
It is certainly refreshing to see a US carrier buck the trend to offer:
1)A quality domestic service with PTVs as well as being LCC.
2)A passenger/service centred philosophy (something the majors forgot about decades ago)
3)Profitability as well.
I reckon they offer a product that is innovative, fresh and better than full-service carriers in the US.

It's a winning formula and I hope they sock it to the majors.

I have flown with them a few times and enjoyed every time. We were on time and the IFE was good to because it keeps you occupied and makes the flight go faster. I give them  Big thumbs up  Big thumbs up up.

Airplanes are only as good as the people who fly&fix them.

How is jetBlue was doing out of BOS to those cities with FLL, MCO, TPA, LGB, DEN & OAK.

General concensus from our office was they started out great (albeit with no ff program or forward cabin to upgrade)...but have tarnished a bit as they have gotten bigger.

They were on our 'no fly' list for the above reasons...but a lot of people are taking WN to MSY and then connecting on JetBlue in order to get into New York for a fraction of the full fare CO price.

It will be good to see them in Houston...I guess at some point (?)

Personally, I think the EMB's are huge mistake (cost wise).

JetBlue is a good airline. What I don't like is the red eye flight between SEA and JFK. I hate red eyes!!

Leather seats, television, A320. What else you can ask for? I use jetBlue on JFK-MCO-JFK routes and they offer free snacks, but you have to pay for the alcohol.

Yeah... I hope they do that because I want to see:

1) Tens of thousands of jobs lost.
2) LCCs raising prices with no competition...
3) Smaller cities not serviced....
4) No international flights...
5) Boeing gong under...

Do you really think LCCs will be all that great if it was not for competition from majors??

All of my flights on them have been great. Coach on Jetblue is better than coach on any majors I've flown.
I disagree with a previous poster. I think the ERJ-190's are going to be a huge positive for Jetblue.

Wasn't there a "what do you think of jetBlue" topic last month? And the month before?

Can an airline really be that good?

No. The problem is that everyone else is really that bad.

I have flown jetBlue several times on their OAK-LGB flights and back. Their service is amazing, and is not overrated. Some people on the website mentioned above are just nuts!! This is taken from one of the passengers who was disgusted with the airline:

"JetBlue also advertises that you have the opportunity to watch DirecTV on your personal video screen located on the seat back in front of you. They don't mention that you only get 20 channels and most of those are sports and news. There was the Cartoon Network but Scooby-Doo is still too advanced for my daughter. I watched the progress of the flight a little while and the Travel channel for a bit."

What is he/she talking about?!?!?!? Just 20 channels? Isn't that more than any other airline. Sorry, but that should be perfectly enough for satisfying her.
This upcoming Saturday I'm flying jetBlue for my first trans-con with their airline! I'm quite excited. And I'll post a trip report after I arrive in Moscow.
Bottom line: never doubt jetBlue, once you try them, you will be pleasantly surprised.

I have never flown Jet Blue, but I have a profound respect for them. They have good ideas, such as flying only one type of aircraft, maintaining fuel-efficiency and maintenance costs. Their fleet is also very young. However, their future looks dark. I have been hearing stories that they are heading for financial difficulties. God be with them Big thumbs up
