Last weekend I made an apron roundtrip at FRA and talked to an employe of Fraport. He told me that the observation platform at Terminal 2 will be reopened soon, maybe for as little as August 1st 2007.

Good to hear. I'ts not nearly as nice as the one on T1, but at least you'll get all the noise and smell of Jet A1 to your spotting experience again. Don't think that the McDonald's customers will be to pleased to hear that though ... lol!

There's an article in today's FAZ as well, stating that the deck is to be reopened - they're just waiting for approval (I guess from the LBA).

The employe told me that the deck has to be cleaned before and that they have to install X-ray controls for the visitors.
