I've just spent a few hours ogling the F class photos on the database. Now, I know looks can be deceiving but Qantas F Class looks decades out of date. It's an embarrassment when compared to Singapore, Cathay and Emirates.
So, it got me thinking - who has the world's worst F Class product?

There are various Airlines not offering a proper First Class seat rather a old style Business Cradle seat that goes into 180 degrees positon. Amongst them are for instance United on their 767's, Emirates on their Airbus A332 / A343 and 772 / 773 (Non ER planes). So far EL AL also only offers a craddle seat going into fully flat and then I am sure various airlines in Asia or Africa. Qantas hence is actually not bad at all howeve this is the mimium of what you must epcect tofay for a good First Class product. Regarding meals SQ, CX, EK and LH are definetly flagship examples but yes. Who really got the worst First Class I don't know as I haven't seen pictures or tested out all Airlines that offer it.

That's a really hard question to answer. Many here will jump on it and say that United and American are the worst. There's bias against US carriers since the crews on long haul international flights tend to be very old and the service standards are not as high as some airlines. But UA and AA are very middle of the road. They aren't SQ, but they also aren't BR.
I would say that there are some pretty low quality first class products out there based on the seats being outdated. BR and AI come to mind. A fully flat seat with an integrated PTV (AVOD option is a plus) is the minimum standard now. However not all airlines offer that. Some offer old recliners that don't offer a completely flat surface. Some still don't have PTVs. UA on its 767s as mentioned are pretty bad. They are a generation old, but do have PTVs and a semi on demand system that uses cassette tapes.
If you have never designed an airplane part before, let the real designers do the work!

Its a hard one to answer. Me personally, I really do not like those old wide leather type seats some of the american carriers house in their narrow bodies. I don't even like AA's business class seats. When I lower the seat and lay down, it feels super uncomfortable. UA's 767 F class cabin are in desperate need of refurbishment to keep up with the rest of the airline world but surprising enough, I would prefer this seat over AA's business class seat...LOL.

EVA AIR need to update their F class produc soo badly and their super business class in their 747-400 unbelievable bad.
only 44" ...... I always chose eva from SEA to TPE just because they are a good airlines and I love their economy deluxe.
Of course the new premium laurel class and elite class and their new economy class is amazing nice. I hope they start to introduce them all into USA and europe routes ASAP
Garuda Indonesia also have bad business class but at least their seat pitch is totally awesome.
still I don't get it why ppl buy super business class product from eva air if they can ride the economy deluxe for much cheaper yet almost the same as business class except the food and 6 inches longer. =.=

I might be bashed for saying this but SQ F class between SIN and KUL must be the worst out there... The 777-200 is a nice aircraft with nice seats but the service?
First of all the PTVs are smaller than any Y PTVs in the market and there is only airshow on... I understand it's a short flight but it's enough to watch a Simpsons episode or such...
The welcome drink couldn't be simpler.. Water or orange juice?? Plus the juice wasn't even fresh...The meal was served from a trolley which is understandable for such a short flight. I took a nice smoked salmon which was also good. The drinks we were offered, with smoked salmon I remind you, were tea or coffee.. WTF?? I thought this was the real "low point" of the whole flight... The crew cleared the tables before I could finish my meal and sat down about 15 minutes before landing !!!! It wasn't bumpy or anything....
Just to compare.. A 45 to 50 min IST-ATH flight in C class on TK goes like this: Welcome drink (FRESH orange juice or champagne) plus hot towels. After take off, cold meals (such as smoked salmon or Turkish mezze plate) accompanied with ANY drink you would like and served personally (not from a trolley unless the C class is more than 20 pax or so). Coffee Tea service followed by another round of hot towels...
P.S: The TK C class lounge is WAY better than the F lounge of SQ in
