9W's New Livery On The 738 (Picture)-Opinion Pleas

Hello,

I just saw the new Jet Airways livery on the 737 and wanted your opinion. When they unveiled their new colours on the 77W's i didnt quite like the colours at all. But slowly the new look grew on me and i started to like it.

But now when i see the livery on the much shorted 738, im not too sure about the way it looks on the 77W, it you notice, the livery looks much more "full" on the smaller plane than on the 737. Contrary to this fact, many people have expressed their satisfaction on the ivery on the 737.

Do you think this livery should have been left as a "special" livery? What is the general opinion on the new colours on the 737.

Looks more like a classic 70's livery, although I like it. Is there any cultural significance to the colour scheme as well as the tail logo. The tail logo reminds me of a stylized Pac-Man image? Anybody out there old enough to remember Pac-Man?? biggrin

I like the livery on both the 777 and the 737. However, I keep thinking that it could just as well have been an updated livery for Lufthansa. I wish Jet had gone a little more ethnic somehow.

I think that the livery looks sharper on the 773ER; my opinion, Jet's new livery is nothing special.

Yes, i also personally feel that they should have added a tad bit of ethnicity to the livery. But then again, i dunno maybe they are thinking on the lines of SQ, MH, etc whose liveries are rather plain but yet are well known.

I think the ribbon livery is more fit to be some sort of special livery rather than a standard one. On the 77W there is just too much dead space and even the titles seem to have just been randomly placed ont he fwd part of the fuselage.

Appears to be some sort of access panel, sensor, or interface. I'm sure someone else will give you an accurate answer though.

I believe the livery was designed by Landor & Assoc.

You mean the silver circle that is on the ribbon? Thats a static port.

Gradually all Airframes will be painted in the new Livery.Mostly at the next Check C.

It's...okay.
It's not hideous, but it's not my favorite either.

The ribbony bit near the front could be straightened out a little as it doesn't seem to go with the more geometric logo on the tail, but that's a minor issue.

Able to kill active threads stone dead with a single post!
