My good friend is having trouble finding a flight down to CBB (Cochamamba Bolivia) (she's going down to teach and work in an orphanage and I was figuring if anyone knew how to get down there it would be the folks here at Airliners.net. So anyway the thing we have worked out now is that she'd fly AA from Denver via Miami to La Paz and then Aero Sur to CBB. On the way back she'd go through Santa Cruz (VVI). Would this be a good way? Only by my knowledge Aero Sur, LAB, and TAM fly to CBB so also which airline would be the safest and best experience in your guys opinion? Thanks a bunch for the help everything and anything is appreciated. Thanks a bunch

Cochabamba has not direct international flights. Your friend will need to fly into La Paz or Santa Cruz, Bolivia and change plane. I flew on LAB a number of times while living in Bolivia. They had an excellent safety record.

As long as there's enough connecting time in La Paz it should be fine. That is actually probably the best way. There are only two destinations served from CBB that have flights to the U.S. One is in La Paz, while the other is all the way in Buenos Aires, which is out of the way. The only flight to the U.S. from La Paz is American to Miami, so it looks like the itinerary she has is the best one.
