Hello, I'm trying to fly non-rev through my pass bureau LAX-HNL in mid-September. I can use HA, UA, or TZ. Can anyone tell me what the loads look like for those carriers on or around 9/18? I can also fly out of SFO or just about any west coast city HA serves if that is a better bet. I'm assuming travel to Hawaii drops off after summer is over, right? Do flights still tend to sell out around this time? Any help is greatly appreciated.

You might be able to get the United 777 flight from LAX (I believe it starts soon). That would have the best luck for revenue no shows, even if it is sold out. My last flight from LAX-HNL in July was only about 80% (UA10 I believe, 767).

I would be very surprised if you couldn't non-rev on TZ then, it gets quiet in September.

ATA - an honestly different airline.

A friend of mine got stuck in HNL for 4 days last year in Spetember despite having DL, UA and AA tickets.

There are worse places to get left behind. Big grin

Have fun!

What my company tells me is TZ is the way to go--I'm not sure what kind of set up you have but I was told by several people TZ is a non-revers paradise.

I plan on doing a LAX-HNL non rev run in a few weeks to play some golf with some work buddies.

In my experience non-revving (on DL mostly) getting to Hawai'i easy...leaving is much harder. But there are much worse palces to get stuck, eh?

Agreed--come back on a mid-week odd time flight.
