I'm flying SIN-AKL-WLG in November and because of a special deal I'm able to get either:
1. an economy seat for USD$480, or
2. a business seat for USD$970.
I'll be flying SQ285 for the SIN-AKL route.
I'm seriously tempted to pay the extra dosh to get the opportunity to fly business for the first time in my life. What do you think - is it worth the extra cash? From what I understand, USD$970 is still a pretty good deal for business one-way.

Quoting Cabso1 (Reply 5): What did you end up paying for that, if you don't mind me asking? Nice deal anyway, fares run quite high on the SIN-AKL sector.
The SYD-SIN A380 flight? I managed to get a relatively cheap price thankfully - 2 economy tickets for a total of USD$1020. It was quite late in the auction when I won and prices had come down significantly from the first few days.
I've also had to book 2 economy tickets for QF118 WLG-SYD to get over there on the morning of the A380 flight. Cost was approx USD$270 total.
So total cost of the trip for my wife and I will be about USD$3300. Trip will be: WLG-SYD-SIN (all economy) and a week later SIN-AKL-WLG (business, then economy).
