Good Evening All,

I am getting ready to leave Monday 9-24 for Lagos(LOS) form Corpus Christi(CRP). I was just wondering if the group here wants a trip report with photos or is this trip old news? Let me know.

I will be doing ORD-NRT-BKK-NRT-ORD on UA and BKK-KUL-BKK on Air Asia in two weeks and I think that I might do a trip report.

Who cares if it is "old news", they are always great to read.

Let us know which place is more uncomfortably hotter than the other at the moment! Smile

I was in Corpus last Thursday, and it was uncomfortably hot, but I had a good time. First time I had ever seen traffic there in about ten visits! They had the Harbor bridge down to one lane for some reason that I did not know, didn't seem to be any construction. Seems they are trying to become more like the larger Texas cities around them these days by having people sit idle in their cars for an extra hour or two! Smile

It's hard to stand around in that town for long without a white and orange King Air buzz around your head. I actually got to watch the Coast Guard do a simulated water rescue right in front of the American Bank Center last fall with one of their Dolphins. Impressive.

Have a good trip, looking forward to hearing the report!

By all means, give us a trip report, with many pictures, especially of LAGOS.

Beware, photography is not allowed so you'll have to be discreet !

Due to all the rain, the summer has been rather mild. The last week actually felt hotter than July and August.

The Harbor bridge is being inspected and there were some emergency repairs that had to be made. The city decided to do a permanent repair that took a few hours longer rather than a temporary repair that would have to be replaced. I sure wish cars could have navigation systems that could take into account current road conditions and propose alternatives before it is too late to turn off. It's ridiculous for the city not to warn people about the delays miles before committing to getting on the bridge. It was really awful a couple of years ago when the city was reparing and expanding streets all over trying to use up the bond money voted on in the mid '80s. It was impossible to go anywhere without running into construction, and it was hard to predict which streets would be affected on any particular day.

That is the plan as is of now.

I will be sure to take alot of photos. I did while I was there for 6 weekes in June and July.

I will be sure to give a report on the temperature. I haven't been there during this time of year before. I have been there in winter and summer but not late summer heading into fall. As far the comparison of Lagos to Corpus, they are almost the same. The only exeception is that when i was there in June and July it rained about almost everyday. During a normal year here in Corpus it doesn't rain much during the summer at all. I will be sure to give an update when I get back.
