What are some nice hotels near airports that provide good views of the terminal/tarmac/aircraft movements?

Probably the best one I've been too is the Grand Hyatt at DFW, it had great views of the airport operations, the other great one being the Embassy Suites in South San Francisco (Embassy Suites being my favorite hotels  Smile )

What are your favorites?

Sofitel Paris Charles de Gaulle Hotel has many rooms with fantastic views of the runway. Little expensive rooms but very comfortable.

The fairmont at vancouver airport is amazing. Great views of the airport, and the room is in perfect condition. Quite pricey, but definitly worth it.

I love how they have binoculars in the rooms so you can watch the planes.

Same goes for the Sheraton CDG, and if you have a restricted budget, the Ibis CDG is pretty cool aswell, and inexpensive.

Others are the famous Renaissance at LHR, and that Motel close to SFO. The names escapes me, but we had a great room with a view to the 28s.

The IAH Marriott gives excellent views of the ramps, north or south depending on the side of the hotel your room is located. The revolving restaurant gives a 360 view as well.

I like the O'Hare Hilton, which I used to get for $50.00 per night when I worked for NWA.

The Hyatt at PIT has some decent views. If you stay on the north end, you have a good view of 10L/ 28R. If your on the east side, good views of the terminal and some runway action. A bit pricey though.

Embassy Suites-North at LAX is just abeam the east end (normally approach end) of 24L/R (about 1 mile east of threshold). Top floor is about eye-level with incoming traffic. Make sure to get room facing north. All rooms have small balconies.

Otherwise the hotel is not just great - a little noisy with families and getting a little run down. Nice evening free cocktails though.

The Hyatt at MCO was great. I was on the ninth floor with a balcony overlooking the runways. It is such a great hotel that I am getting married there.

The Renaissance at ATL is nice if you face the south. Sit out on your deck, suck on your Budweiser and
watch the pretty planes come and go.

Radisson LAX has awesome views from the north side of the hotel. Its a pretty nice place with a perfect location if you are spending the night in L.A. for a flight the following day. I really enjoyed my stay. Really close to the In N Out Burger too.

Kempinski Hotel Munich Airport is probably the best airport hotel that I have ever stayed at. The location is ideal, pretty much right at T2 and really close to T1. Great service, with awesome rooms.

Oh, I forgot about this one. I second SiouxATC's emotion here......great hotel and if you go to the bar on the
roof, they have an outside area to .......you guessed it....suck on your Budweiser and watch the pretty
planes come and go.
