I was looking at article about Lockheed Jetstar and L-188, and I got me to thinking, what is your favorite Lockheed civilian aircraft. Mine is Lockheed only jetliner, the L1011 Tristar.

How many Lockheed's are airworthy flying for pax airlines? I know for Hewa Bora, but they stoped flying L-1011, maybe year ago...

ATA still has 3 L-1011's I think that they use for charter flying and they used one just 2 weeks ago to fly the University of Southern Mississippi to Idaho for a football game.

I like the Jetstar as well, but the L-1011 would be my favorite.

Would love to have seen that take-off from the 6,500 foot runway at Hattiesburg.

Hi!

For me all Lockheed civilian designs are absolutely over the edge, but I must say that the one that always impressed me was the Lockheed Constellation/Super Constellation/Starliner family, and from those the most fantastic is the L1649A Starliner.

Just look at my user name, it tells you which is my favorite Lockheed airplane or that matter my favorite airplane of all time. Fortunately I had the privilege of flying and maintaining JetStars for almost 10 years
