I've heard about a hotel counter at JFK, which offers remaining hotel rooms for low fares. Does anybody of you know where this counter is and if it is worth to look it up?

Thanks for help!

Stefan

Hi StefanPAD  wave

Taking a look at JFK's web site, there are some "Hotel Reservation Services":

http://www.panynj.gov/CommutingTravel/airports/html/ken_hotels.html

Hotel Reservation Services

Go to Arrivals Areas in the locations listed below:

Hotel Courtesy Telephones are located at each terminal as well as at AirTrain Station C-Federal Circle - no charge (free) for making your reservations

Terminal 1, Terminal 4 and Terminal 7
Accommodations Plus, Inc. - (800) 733-7666 - $5 Service Charge for making your reservation.

Terminal 3
Meegan Services - (800) 441-1115 - $5 Service Charge for making your reservation.

The site also lists nearby hotels.

Not sure if these are what you were looking for though. Sometimes you can get good deals through the airline, hotels.com, travelocity.com, etc. Enjoy your stay in NY!  zzz

I use priceline.com for cheap JFK hotels. I've stayed at Crowne Plaza, DoubleTree (formerly Radisson), Courtyard, and Ramada at JFk through priceline bids.

Also try hotwire.com

I've never heard of any desk that offers cheap rooms.
