Quoting 7E72004 (Reply 2): What about putting one of those suckers on the SFO-LAX route Big grin
I think the SFO-SJC route would be much more lucrative. I mean, the traffic these days is horrible! and BART doesn't go to San Jose! Come on WN, when are you placing an order!?!

Hi,
This is what SQ posted themself the other week.
I am not sure about the first flight but I am hoping it will be MEL. But the route was MEL-LAX and SYD-LAX in Aug 08. And I am sure they will bring in BNE in December 08.
October to be precise, for scheduled services anyway.

First scheduled flight is MEL-LAX followed by SYD-LAX, though it will do some shorter flights I'm sure until the second aircraft arrives and to let the crew get used to it. I doubt they will fly it out of BNE scheduled for sometime, I'm not sure where they would fly it from BNE, LAX is possible but I have my doubts and maybe SIN but that won't be for a few years.

Yeah, they could probably put it on QF175/176 as it goes SYD-BNE-LAX-BNE-SYD and carries alot of SYD traffic to LAX aswell. It might just be justifiable.

In that article on Flight Global, it says SQ will continue service to Hong Kong and SFO, after 2 aircraft are delivered to other airlines. Is this Qantas? And will Qantas start flying to/from LAX in the A380 first??
