Hi everybody....
I am doing more and more research on my pre-Christmas vacation and it seems Florida is by far the cheapest option. If it all works out, we will also visit the Bahamas for a couple of days on a cruise maybe...
The cheapest flight are usually with American carriers (ex-CDG). Although I would like to fly LH (only because I can make TK miles), they are by far too expensive. Could you please compare AA 763 / CO 777 / UA 763-777 and DL763-764 economy class for me?

Continental generally greatly outpaces the rest of the U.S. major airlines in terms of service. However, watch out for the 757. While the service is still good, most of them don't have PTVs like the 767s and 777s do (although they are installing them so it's possible), and the cabin is single-aisle and could get uncomfortable. That would be my choice. However, I'm not sure if you can earn THY miles on UA or US yet (Star Alliance). If you can, those are okay options. Out of CDG US is actually decent, at least in terms of aircraft and AVOD IFE - plus, the one CDG-U.S. flight on US Airways has same-number service to MCO on US Airways via PHL. But if miles aren't that important I'd take CO, and on as early of a flight as possible on a 767 or 777 - avoid the late afternoon / evening EWR rush hour, which causes delays.

I can tell you about AA (Well, the B763).
No PTV, but a good book will do. I thought i was going to die without one, but in fact i'd rate it as one of my best flights. Service is good, they charge for alcohol ($5 i think, so around €2,10) and the seats are fine. Try and get a seat in the forward "mini cabin" in Y, if you're flying Y. It's great, not many rows, and it's quieter.

I can vouch for this too. US are actually good, considering the amount of bashing they get on here. The only bad experiences i've had with them weren't their fault (Medical)

I fly CO a lot, and my experiences with them are very good. They've got good food in economy, and PTVs (I guess that's standard nowadays). As you said, you're flying on the 777, so you might get the AVOD...seems nice, though I haven't used it. Try to see if you can get upgraded to BusinessFirst. You will not regret it. Still, I say CO
