Hi to you all,

sorry, tried the search-engines, but without any result- is it not working? error always: "Sorry, the post you are trying read does not exist"

well, I found a pretty good deal on Air India JFK-LHR. now I wanna know, which a/c is used for this trip? any idea? do they use a B777-200ER or B777-300LR?

As far as I know, the B777-200ER's are ex United? so what can I expect on-board? UA-seats, entertainment etc.? or did they re-configuere the a/c to the B777-300LR standards.

No clues given on AI web-page, so any help is much appreciated!

chris

I know in the past it has been operated by the 744 but I heard this was changing to 77W. Cannot remember when though. Also, AI have also been using the 77L on the LHR-JFK but that is just familirisation for the crews. (Excuse my spelling).

Not to sound critical but it is 77300ER. not LR

That operates the route originating at ATQ 4 times a week so take a look at the timetable on their website or on amadeus it will give you an idea,

Enjoy your flight and we expect a TR.

There are 10.6 inch PTVs AVOD in Economy

I guess you mean the 777-300ER. It is my understanding that the 77L (777-200LR) is being put on the route.

On their website, they do not mention the frequency or the type of 777 unless I checked the wrong timetable

My father just flew DEL-LHR-JFK in late Sept and he claimed it was a 777 in the old colours - which means a 777-200ER

Mate he is talking about JFK-LHR he does not mention BOM-JFK where the 772LR operates

Anyways from Ais winter schedule it will be like this

B777-300ER will operate as AI111 on ATQ-DEL-LHR-JFK sector on TUE, THU, SAT and SUN. On other days, it will operate DEL-LHR-JFK. ATQ dep time will be 0445 and DEL dep will be 0720.

Hi, just some more questions for you guys...

I read a trip report on AIR INDIA B777-200ER, stating, that they still have the old UA seats onboard...  Sad

Now, UA operates 2 B777 configs.:
http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Uni...ited_Airlines_Boeing_777-200_1.php
http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Uni...ited_Airlines_Boeing_777-200_2.php

so, which one is used by AI? and is it true, that AI kept the Premium Economy seats and selling these as normal economy?

cheers chris
