I'm planning a trip to the States next summer and I was wondering when will I find special fares from the US to Europe? Which airlines should I try or websites should I be looking at? Are their some airports I should look at - I'll be east coast and Chicago during my trip. I'm not too fussed on where I fly too.

East coast and Chicago? I would be checking AA, CO, DL, UA, US to fly an american carrier. Is sounds like you coming to the states and then hopping around the east coast. Is that right? What's your Europe departure point?
Fares should be available now for the summer, but airlines haven't announced most service enhancements yet for summer 08. I would be looking to buy sometime in January '08. There are some neat sites that track fare levels and tell you when the best time to buy would be. Pull up a search engine and get on these. Farecast.com is one example.
Best of luck and enjoy your trip!

Also check out NW. They have been offering fares of about £230rtn to NYC via MSP or DTW from LGW this year, also US Airways have had some £196rtn fares available from LGW and I think MAN. Failing that, try Air India from LHR to NYC, or BHX to Toronto - normally some cheapish fares.
