Go for VS prem. econ !!!! it is way better.....
No offense, but just what do you base this recommendation on? Your profile indicates a 16-20yr old student. Have you flown both? Can you give me something more than "it's way better"?
Is there anyone out there that can give a more qualified response?

PA110, give me just under a month and I will be able to compare both.
In the meantime, here is my overview of BA's WT+.
You are looking at a 2-4-2 seating arrangement across the 747s and 777s. In the 747s, you can expect a little bit of space, perhaps enough for a shopping bag of magazines, between the window seat and the door.
The legroom is quite good, and the seat is comfortable. It is noticeably wider than the economy seats. There are legrests and lumbar support. The recline however is a bit of a disappointment. Certainly more than economy...but blood is not going to be rushing to your head anytime soon.
Entertainment is quite good, not sure if it is the same as in economy, but there are videos and games. I believe it to be the standard OMNIA entertainment system. There is a dedicated cabin with two restrooms for the Premium Economy passengers.
In addition, you can make use of Club World check-in and accumulate 1.25x the mileage.
Thats about it for my BA spiel. Now on to Virgin.
I can't comment too well as I haven't traveled with Virgin yet, but I will be doing so in about 3 weeks.
On the A340-300s, the problem with premium economy is that there is no WC in the cabin, so you have to go back into the economy cabin. however, the seats are arranged 2-3-2, which is quite comfortable. To be honest, the seats look like the Business Class of olde, circa perhaps 15 years ago, although I'm sure that they don't recline as much and probably aren't as thick.
On the A340-600 you get your own WCs in the cabin. On the 747 out of LHR, premium economy is upstairs as of the second half of the upper deck, which is great! There are bins between the seat and the wall. I'm used to BA's Club World upstairs and was really looking forward to traveling on VS's 747-400 on the upper deck, but it didn't work out (lowest PE fare was not available).
Virgin Premium Economy has a dedicated check-in and you will accumulate 1.5 times the base mileage, which is nice. In the 747, there is also some premium economy downstairs.
You will also get a glass of champagne pre-takeoff, which is nice.
If at the moment you have no preference, I would say go with Virgin, but try to get on a 747 or A346. Hopefully others will be able to compare the two carriers' premium economy, but I will certainly have a trip report and compare/contrast when I get back myself.

Thanks AirxLiban - Very helpful indeed. I'm looking forward to seeing your comparison. Just FYI... I've flown VS in Upper Class (pre-suite) and the service was the best I've ever experienced on ANY airline. Hope you enjoy your flight on VS.

I haven't flown on VS PE, but have used BA WTP LHR-MIA. WTP is pretty good - the seat is really comfy and you get games on the PTV, which is not the case in 4th Class.
One criticism is that there is no separate check-in for WTP, so you would have to queue with everyone else. Luckily I have BA silver, so did not have to!
