I just purchased my A380 (F-Class) SQ tickets online and I thought I'd share my buying experience with everyone. There is some measureable dollar difference between flying on the A380 vs booking yourself on a 747 flight. All fares are R/T - SIN - SYD - SIN on 08 Jan returning 12 Jan 2008. (Pictures posted on left are A380 and 747 on the right)

$4386 for economy class return from SYD-SIN?! That doesn't seem right.
My dad recently flew SYD-SIN return, and on the way there he was on the 747, on the way back, he had the pleasure of flying the A380, and it didn't cost half as much as that.
I would defiantly want to fly the A380, I heard its really quiet compared to the 747 and the new seats.

Think that the economy fares are wrong. It is not soo big difference in Eco between the 744 and A380.
For the First class, SQ has stated that their first class in the A380 is going to cost 20% more than First class compared to the 744.

Quoting 747Dreamlifter (Thread starter): My business class R/T fare from SFO to SIN via HKG is $6,167 (03 Jan and 14 Jan 2008) Hope to enjoy every minute on the A380.
THANK YOU, for your focus.....so I went back online to Travelation.com to see if I made an error on the figures. As of this morning this is what was listed. R/T coach fare (SIN to SYD, 08 Jan - SYD to SIN, 12 Jan) on the A380 was $4391.00 + 261.18 tax/fee = $4,647.18 Flights for the same dates on a 747 was $1,801.00 + 261.18 = $2057.18
Still reflecting a sizeable price differential. I too began to agree that it just didn't look right.
So, thanks to everyone who posted a comment, I checked out SQ site directly and concluded that TRAVELATION.com has the coach fare posted in correctly. SQ posted "Coach" fares as $1,271.62 on the A380 and $1,064.29 for their 747. Now that's looks more reasonable. I further researched and discovered that I could save a few dollars by booking directly with Singapore Airlines. NOW, that was a shocker. I always assumed that dealing with online brokers such as Expedia, Travelation, Travelocity, etc was a way to save some money. Wow, I received a "Heads-up" awakening today.
I'm never going to assume anymore....This really made an "Assss" out of myself.
Fortunately the Credit Card I'm using allows me to cancel without penalty within 30 days of travel. So I decided to rebook my res with SQ and save some pocket change.
I going to have a "Happier Holiday" and a few more dollars to spend.
