Now that RJs are flying some quite long routes, what are the longest nonstop routes out there that people know of flown by RJs?

I am specifically interested in the CRJ-200 (as that is what I fly), but also very interested in other types as well.... I know my airline does some flights approaching 1000nm with the CR2, but there must be longer ones out there.

I took a Pinnical Airlines CRJ-200 ALB-MSP last month which was just at 1000 miles. Longest 3 hour flight of my life...

Historically, SkyWest Airlines has operated CRJ-200's for United Express between DEN and BNA. That's over 1000 miles.

I believe CO was doing IAH-BOI in the E145XR
.... but don't know if it still exists.... that was quite aways.

Also, I think Eagle does XNA-LAX which has to be over 1000nm.

I have no association with Spirit Airlines

It seems like Pinnacle does some really long -200 flights. Apparently they have previously flown DTW-AUS and MSP-TUS (!!!)

Also, Skywest flies YYZ-SLC with the CRJ-900, apparently sometimes that flight is over 5 hours!

DL(oh) used to fly the -200 CVG-COS, im sure there are some long ones out of denver on the skywest side using the -200, iirc the longest uax flight using the -700 is LAX-DSM, maybe there is a longer one out there that i dont know about.

The longest I've done is PHX-MSP on the CRJ-900 (then America West Express). It only ran for a few weeks before going back to mainline. It's 1276 miles.

I know US flies PHX-DSM on the CRJ-200, for 1149 miles. In that case however, it's basically a CRJ-200 flight or no flight at all!

I remember UAX/Mesa running RDU-DEN with a -700 and all of the problems associated with that...weight restrictions leaving off pax and or bags. Did ZW back when they were part of the United Express system run a -200 ATL-DEN?
I can remember reading about it in Mike Boyd's weekly column a couple of years back, but then again he is not exactly a fan of UA especially how this week's blog he talks about how UA is quietly putting down Ted.

Keep in mind that there is a WORLD of difference in comfort between the -200 and the -700/-900 models! The -200 is the most cramped and uncomfortable plane I have ever been on, but the -700 and -900 models are at mainline comfort levels. In fact, to me (I'm 6' tall), it's more comfortable as you have only aisle or window - 2x2 or 1x2 is GREAT!!

Having said that (and getting  flamed  in the process, I'm sure!), at one point the longest RJ flights were BFL-IAH at 1241 nm (cancelled, of course!!) and BOI-IAH at 1288 nm (also cancelled).

My longest RJ flight was America West Express in 2004 MSP-PHX at 1109 nm.

Some of the routes mentioned:

MEM-BOS: 990 nm
MSP-YUL: 970 nm
MSP-IAH: 898 nm
MSP-SLC: 861 nm (done this route on a -700 and a -900)
MSP-GEG: 1021 nm
MSP-ELP: 997 nm
MSP-ALB: 851 nm
DEN-BNA: 881 nm
LAX-XNA: 1191 nm
LGA-XNA: 997 nm
DTW-AUS: 998 nm
MSP-TUS: 1128 nm
MSP-DSM: 999 nm
CVG-YUL: 620 nm
CVG-MIA: 824 nm
LAX-DSM: 1257 nm

But the winner for routes mentioned so far is....drum roll please...

SLC-YYZ: 1443 nm

ATL-YUL, and ATL-MTY have to be long services for CR2s. In addition, DFW-BOI has to be a stretch on a CR7. As far as ER4s go, I'd think that IAH-YYZ would be quite a haul...

When ZW was doing AirTran JetConnect I remember the ATL-ICT route was exclusively AirWhisky CRJ's for a time. Not the longest CRJ-200 route but I am sure the folks in ICT were not exactly thrilled to see the nice mainline 717's be replaced with CRJ's especially with the subsidies ICT gave to FL to start and sustain service there.
