Has anyone ever flew standby non rev on EK from FRA to DXB and from DXB to LHE and vice versa? How is it, any info would be appreciated, thanks!

No problem, if seats available: easy! Terminal 2 in FRA... normal check in, go to gate, get seat, bye bye...

I have done VIE-DXB and DXB-ZRH and both times groud staff was super friendly and very nice! At DXB (if you are in transit) ask for the Stand-By Transit Desk. It is Nbr. 10 if I remember correct. They are very helpful at DXB.  Smile

I did LHRDXB about 6 years ago in Y. The check in staff were some of the worse I ever observed or so I thought until I observed the ones in the departure gate. A couple of months later that and an incident on AA helped to make up my mind never to travel in Y for flights of more than 4 hours and to also non rev as little as possible

Just curious, how easy is it to get upgraded while traveling contingent on EK? Is it as easy as traveling on UA, you automatically get placed on the wait list for F or is it more like QF that try and seat you in Y first, if Y is full will QF even upgrade a con? I heard they are really bad about upgrading people.

Keep the shinny side up!
