Hope someone on here can help.
I'm looking at going to NY for a week in April and I have had a search for flights between EDI and NYC. Two of the cheapest options (in economy) were BA and VS (BA domestic). Both go via LHR? :| I would have taken the direct CO flight but it's just too expensive. So... I'm asking...should we fly VS or BA?

I just thought as it was on one ticket they may transfer the luggage. I guess not...
One more question. Which airport is closer to manhattan? JFK or EWR? Is one airport better than the other?

I've booked BA EDI-LHR-JFK rtn. I know that T5 opens on the 27th March. I'm travelling on the 7th April returning 14th. The domestic flights arrive and depart from T5, where as the JFK flights depart and arrive T4. I thought that all BA ops were moving to T5? Also, if I book the BA flights from an external website (www.airline-network.co.uk), will I still be able to check-in online on www.ba.com?
