If you were a pilot, what sort of equipment or aircraft would you operate, why and what airline would you fly for?.
I would operate the A320, smart, looks great and easy to fly. I'd fly for Ansett, although I would not get very far, so I think I would fly for Air New Zealand. Any thoughts?

If pay wasn't a consideration, probably a turboprop (perhaps the ATR or DH8) on short flights, say an hour or so. Perhaps initially flying for Flybe. from Exeter (my 'home' airport). Eventually fly the 772 for BA, particularly on routes to the Middle East, Africa and the Indian Subcontinent.

Would have to be a United/BA 777 based at either LHR or JFK, just cant get enough of the T7. I picked UA as its become my family's airline of choice to America and has fast become my favorite airline, BA as well because they are the British/English flag carrier and seeing their planes while on abroad makes me feel very patriotic!
Although as it is, I'd be happy to fly anything for anyone! Just as long as I'm flying, I'm happy!

an ATR??? wow ... that either takes balls or stupidity. your talking about an aircraft that has no A/C on the ground at all. only when the engines are up and both running at high rpm can you turn on the A/C. on hot days or on delays at the gate you will see pilots cursing their aircraft. sure they have those lines that hook up air cirulators to the aircraft but they dont really work to well and take at least an hour before they make any difference in the temp inside the cabin. your also dealing with a slow aircraft... i dunno man. i would drop the names of regional jets well before ATR or any other kind of turbo-prop. at least with jets you have generators and can turn on your a/c immediately after start up. i dunno man... i would rethink that choice. PS this is all in good fun... dont take offense

Delta...on the 88 or 757/767. Once I got to see the insides of what it's like to live in that world, how the fleet is, how life is flying for them, I knew I wanted to have that experience for myself one day...it's a good company, in spite of the corp problems happening right now. Eventually it'll return to being a very strong airline, and there'll be some pilot slots available...one day, hopefully

WidgetBoi,
I always knew you were nuts Sweetie!! I would want to fly... dare I say it... a Boeing 727, because I have always loved the way it looks. Or perhaps the MD11, or even the... what is that other thing with three engines... Oh yes, the L1011!~~!
Any plane anywhere - except to the Middle East. To SW Asia it would have to be a B-1B

I'd pick British Airways 772/744. Why? Two of the most beautiful aircraft out there, and BA have a very extensive route system and fly to, for me, interesting places.

I wouldn't mind a cargo 767-300. Like another person said, no passengers to really worry about. Plus, the 767 is a pretty nice piece of machinery to handle. Its one of the easiest aircraft to fly.. Atleast, in Flight Sim, that is..
The T7 would run a close second, followed by the sluggish MD11..
Caution wake turbulence, you are following a heavy jet.

As I'm still young, my dream is to fly Beech King Air's in Medivac ops. Maybe in Canada or Alaska. Landing that beautiful turbo prop on gravel strips waaay beyond (or below) radar coverage must be very exciting.
When I get grey hair and want to make more money, the position of a skipper on the 330/340 at SAS would be perfect.

I would like to be a 767-300 pilot for Delta or an Iberia 757 pilot. Since IB's 757's are leaving soon, then I would choose an AA 767 left seat spot.

Maybe start with CO Connection flying B1900D out of MIA. Then go to Southwest flying 737-700 from MDW
Then go to AA and fly 757 Based in JFK or LAX then finnally fly the 777 based in MIA or JFK Or maybe fly 747-400 with UA. I really dont care as long as I am getting paid to fly thats all that matters.

The Aarhus airport (AAR) is approx. 40 km away from Aarhus (the second largest city in Denmark). The Germans made it during WWII and didn't think about future civil aviation at that time.
Many people prefers an airport closer to Aarhus and my thought is to make an airport in the outer area of Aarhus harbor (approx. cost 10 million Euro). The distance from the center of Aarhus to the airport would only be 3-4 km
I would get 1 or 2 handfuls of De Havilland Canada DHC-8-200s or 300s and use them to send people from East Jutland to larger airports, like CPH, in that part of Europe.
The airline will not be a part of SAS - too many financial problems. More likely I will make my own airline, selling cheap flights. Frequent short flights not lasting longer than 1 hour, with a simple service concept.
