I want to go Business class but i dont know what carrier has the best product.
I have read much about BA and VS but im not sure who is the best from my options.
My options are:
Alitalia
American Airlines
British Airways
Virgin Atlantic
Air New Zealand
United Airlines
Continental
Air France
Air Lingus
Iberia
Anyone have some advice on who i should go with?
This will be my first time on Business Class so i want it to be Good.

Since you are starting at the west coast:
- Take an airline that flies west coast to Europe. Otherwise part of the flight is in domestic first which is much less than international business class.
- The same applies to the Europe->CMN segment.
This would limit your choices to:
BA/VS Via LHR.
AF Via CDG.
Avoid AZ at all costs (Fly coach on another airline).

In Business class, BA would be the winner of the group mentioned above. UA's new business class would be good too, but it's slowly being phased in and risk getting the old (and very inferior) product.
LHR sucks, but if you're going after March then you should be in terminal 5 which should be much better. Of all the hubs you mention, AMS is the easiest but KL's business product is just average (certainly not bad, better than AA, EI, IB, AZ and about on par with AF and CO).

I'd always go with BA. The chances are you'll be on a B747-400 with BA on your route, so you will experience the Next Generation Club World seat (as all 744s have been refitted now).
You will also fly from LHR T5, making everything (hopefully) much smoother than it is now at T4. The new premium Galleries lounges look set to be quite nice.
The other option I would consider is Virgin, as then you get the added benefit of drive through limo check in (if you purchase their top business class fares) in the newly refurbished LHR T3.
Hope you enjoy your first business class experience.

Did you forget LH because you mentioned FRA as a possible connecting airport ? Although not being comparable with SQ or others LH is know to have a very good business class, too.
BA and VS are both great airlines and also are know to have a very good business class I would avoid LHR. It is one of the worst airports you can think off same goes for CDG as it was recently voted one of the worst airports worldwide.
Do you have a chance to fly with LH over MUC as FRA is also a nightmare (but not as bad as CDG or LHR).I don´t know if you have the chance to fly with LX or OS but they have also one of the best business class products.

Do you have a chance to fly with LH over AND OLD: Munich - Riem (MUC / EDDM) (closed), Germany">MUC as FRA is also a nightmare (but not as bad as CDG or LHR).I don´t know if you have the chance to fly with LX or OS but they have also one of the best business class products.
YES I DO HAVE THE OPTION OF GOING THROUGH MUN BUT LH PRICE FOR THE TRIP IS $13,575 WHICH I THINK IS WAY TO MUCH AS TO WHAT BA, VS, ANZ, AND IB ARE PUTTING UP.
And if i may ask, why are all these aiports to be nightmares?
Just out of curiosity.

LHR is a nightmare because of the long security checkes and the long way to connect to the terminals also it is very crowded, long lines etc.....
I flew twice over LHR last year and both times my luggage did not arrive with me in TXL. I would avoid to connect through LHR if you don´t have to.
CDG was recently voted one of the worst airports worldwide, I will try to find the article with all the reasons why.
FRA is always under construction and has long ways, too. MUC is very convient to connect as it is a very modern airport.
AMS is okay, but the security check when you come from the international terminal to the domestic terminal is horrible, They have a "star treck like" tube in which you have to stand with your arms up until you are being scanned for weapons etc....if there is a long line this procedure takes forever.

I just used UA on SFO-NRT in 777 on a C fare. Nothing but praise for UA this time.
