Simply, what are some of your favorite aircraft/airline combos that never mated...or haven't just yet?

Some of the tops on my list are:

Northwest 777-300
Northwest A340-600
Frontier 757-300
Delta 727-200 (2007 colors)
Delta 777-200 (70s-90s colors)
Southwest 737-900

would also love to see pics posted of any good photoshopped non-existent combos.

how about an MD-11 in United's Stars and Bars?

or a 747-400 with either the Pan Am billboard titles or the TWA colors from the 70s-90s?


I could have elite status if I wanted it, but flying the same airline all the time is boring.

The Tropical Megatop colour schemes would look good on just about anything.

A VC 10 would have looked better and would have been more realistic. Branson is very patiotic  Wink

I really liked the last TWA livery and many aircraft would have looked great in that one:

A UA MD-11 in the current color scheme would be nice. Or EA MD-80 with the bare metal fuselage look. I always kind of wondered why they never placed an order, seemed like it would have fit in fleet well. I suppose Lorenzo's ill intentions were part of the equation there.

My apologies, I posted the wrong link, now I cannot find the correct one. The correct link was indeed the SR-71 with a mirror finish. I will keep looking.

CO A340 gets my vote. The A340 is the only Airbus aircraft that I like the looks of. (don't kill me anyone!) And I love the CO livery.
