Lots and lots which I have flown in the first year of their 'life', thanks mainly to lots of European LCCs starting up and ordering masses of new planes. This one though is the newest when I flew it;

G-JECL, a DHC8-400 operated by FlyBe. Was delivered on the 31st January 2006 and I flew it on the 23rd of February in the same year.

For me, it was a LY 738 (4X-EKA): it was delivered in February 1999, and I flew it in April 1999, so 2 month old!

I think I'm actually the winner so far... N818MA (which is now N818MD) was delivered on August 13, 2004 and I flew it on the 15th. I had thought it was weeks old... looks like I was wrong.

It is one of these two - I'm not sure which because I'm not sure when the Ryanair aircraft was delivered, but I know it was only a few months old.

NW CRJ-200 operated by Mesaba (N602XJ), delivered 9/2005 and I flew it 12/2005 IAH-MSP.
FR B738 (EI-DPV). I flew it 6/2007 MAD-BVA. I want to say it was delivered in April, actually, so this may be the newest one for me.

I flew LH on a 320 from DUS to LHR a few years ago and the crew announced that it had been put into service that morning. It had been to LHR and back twice that day and was about to do its third run.

I flew on N767UA when it was just a week in service, i think, May 1995. At that time N766UA and N767UA were the only 2 777s in service, doing an Ord-Iad-Lhr-Iad-Ord rotation.

Why are people so against low yields?! If lower yields means more people can travel abroad, i'm all for it

I picked up N5270J, C172 from the Cessna Delivery Center located at Strother Field (WLD) and flew it back to FMY on 2/4/80. Man was it cold up there than morning, but less than 8.8 hours and two fuel stops later I was back on the warm southwest FL coast.!  Smile
