Since we have all Business Class in A319BBJ, B737BBJ and now on some B757 .

How about we have a all Premium Economy configuration on a Long Haul flight, eg, A330, B772 or similar to operate popular routes like LHR-JFK, BOM-JFK, SIN-SYD, NRT-JFK and so like that. It can be beneficial to both airlines and passengers.
What is your opinion?

I expect there would be insufficient demand to justify the price since it would need to be more then current Premium Economy fares since it alone was generating the entire revenue for the flight. Premium Economy generally makes Economy a bit less miserable, but it does not offer the personal space and comfort that Business Class does and which helps make it worthwhile paying the premium because you can use the personal space for work and the comfort to sleep.

I agree. If demand for premium economy service was that high you would see larger premium Y cabins on current aircraft. I've been on several flights with high load factors in both J and Y classes but very poor loads in the premium economy cabin.

I actually studied that. 5 abreast 36 inch pitch on BBJ, and 7 abreast 36 inch on 767 for a big carrier 10 yrs ago. Never happened. Non-stop direct service, so an 3-4 hr time benefit would have passengers accept less (but reasonable) comfort over regular feeder / WB service. Revenue folks were stuck to two classes and everything that comes with it (e.g. were to put your daimond FF´s. willing to pay $$).
