Can someone give me some information what I can expect on board JJ´s MD-11. I have flown several times JJ so I know about their great service. Has the A/C still RG´s interior etc etc.

Hi OHLHD
unfortunately JJ's MD-11 still have the Varig interiors that means no PTV and "classic" IFE. It all depend if you're traveling Y or F/C. All 3 MD-11 are quite aged and overused. Cabin in Y is quite cramped and surely shows signs of the aircraft age. F/C is definitely better, cabin is spacious and legroom decent. However still no PTV but large monitors like in the old days.... Don't know about the IFE and what languages are available.
Service is very good, professional and well conducted. Staff is absolutely friendly and helpful and you'll find many little details that would please you're stayin' o/b.
In conclusion JJ service is surely over the average but the MD-11 specifically is a phase-out aircraft and definitely not the more comfortable aircraft to fly a 12hrs trip. If you're flyin' Y I strongly suggest LHR or MAD which are served by the A330 equipped with PTV and decent IFE or even better FRA (A345) the perfect choice for such a long-haul trip, in my opinion.
Still if you choose the MD-11 you'll be on a trip to never forget on one of the last MD-11's operators...
By the way which route will you fly, MXP-GRU or CDG-GRU??

I'd pick the MD11 anytime over any Airbus! Yes, its getting old, but its still a great aircraft!

Absolutely, it remains one of my favourite and I'm familiar to all 3 variants: all pax, combi and all-cargo... one of the most versatile aircraft ever built...

Lucky OHLHD, you've probably been on so many MD-11's in your day, this upcoming JJ trip is just another walk in the park.

While I don't doubt that the interiors are pretty tired in the cabin, the airframes in question are actually rather young, by MD-11 standards. Among the end of production line, for the pax models.
A bit off topic, the two ER's JJ acquired are no longer ER's, correct?
