DL - How Is Y To Europe?

Having never flown DL to Europe - how is their Y product? I am going ATL-MUC in September - how do they compare to the transatlantic services offered by AA? CO? LH?

Its consistant... its marginal it gets you there on time... I don't mind it... I prefer CO for international travel if I am flying a US airline... Their meal service was good but portions were very small... I could care less about IFE since I sleep.... The overheads on DLs 767s are the smaller old style. Delta's crews esp. the international ones just have this no care attittude that my self and others notice. Its not something isolated either. Regardless of the airline in the US your int. crews are often senior (citizens) :-P but the CO crews and even the UA were more open to helping you... Every time i fly DL intl the F/As make me seem like I am burdening them...

Would I avoid them? No.... But their nothing special... It gets me from point A to point B reliably and i can sleep just as well on thier aircraft as i can on any others...

And I'll add that the 767-300 youll be on to MUC has no PTVs and that they show usually one movie (it's hit or miss though).

I flew DL from CVG to CDG in 2002 on their B777. It was ok, and really the service was not much different than the AF!! So the shock wasnt as bad as experiencing great flight on KL to AMS (MEM-AMS on MD11) and disappointing return to DTW with NW (744)!! I havent flown NW overseas since '96 and that was one too many times!
Hopefully they have improved. I fly them quite often since they codeshare with CO and EWR is my home airport!
BOTTOM LINE, if you are going ot Europe for vacation, dont worry about the service, keep your money for pleasure and treats and save on flights!

I flew DL BCN-JFK recently on a 763. There are no PTVs but there is a big screen which is fine for me. They showed two movies and many short programs after that. The seats were very comfortable surprisingly. I was very impressed with their service.
