Quoting Joka (Reply 1): I worked somewhere around 80 hours
Yikes, I did that all over Christmas, but I'm still using the money for trips now - so it was worth it!
In the last week or so I have done;
BHX-ORK ... Aer Lingus ... A320-200 ... EI-CVG
ORK-PLH ... Air Southwest ... Dash 8-311 ... G-WOWD
PLH-NQY ... Air Southwest ... Dash 8-311 ... G-WOWD
NQY-DUB ... Air Southwest ... Dash 8-311 ... G-WOWD
DUB-CWL ... Aer Arann ... ATR42-300 ... EI-BYO
CWL-HLY ... Highland Airways ... BAe Jetstream 31 ... G-CCPW
Holyhead-Birmingham (via most of North Wales!) ... Arriva ... Train
Birmingham-Plymouth ... Cross Country ... Train
About 1000 miles in the air and about another 500 by train - spent over ten hour this week on them. Was worth it though, I've wanted to take the highland airways flight for a long time, and it was great fun.

In the last week, I got back from the US (JFK-NCE), and am now en route to BKK. Took a stupid routing NCE-LCY//LHR-BKK - the transfer from LCY to LHR was hell on wheels - the DLR wasn't working (typical), so had to catch a cab from LCY to the nearest choob station, and a long choob ride from there to Paddington and then got charge GBP24.00 for a 15 minute train ride ! How outrageous is that ! England officially sucks. LCY is a dump too, just by the way. Looks like a small regional branch of IKEA.
Now at LHR T4 where (of course) the nice Terraces lounge is closed for "operational" reasons (i.e. BA are too cheap to keep it open now that all their flights have moved to T5) so we're all squooshed into the Gate 1 lounge. And no egg sandwiches - can my life get any worse ?
Oh well off to sample the joys of New Club World in a minute - upper deck, 61K, should be tasteful. And a week in BKK, with a possible extension to Vietnam if I eat all my vegetables and say my prayers.

Tell me about it - 80% of my WOW flights have been on WOWD grumpy
All the times I've flown Air Southwest (about 5 times) , I've always been on WOWD too. Guess it's just been pot luck... Even though they do have about 4 more Dashes.

Serves you right for taking silly routings

The only time I flew this week was from SLC to CVG and SEA to PDX and some other assorted flights on FSX. On Friday, though, I am going to Atlanta via Milwaukee on Midwest for my aunt's graduation.
