It is one of the most widley known liveries in the world. And it represents who we (Americans) are. I however want to know why its labeled "vc" instead of dc or boeing?

The official US Government designation is Boeing VC-25. V=VIP C=Cargo literally, but truly means transport. -25 just means that is the 25th VIP design submitted, but not nessecarily entered into service. For example, there was an F-17. There will never be another F-17, after that one lost to the F-18, and all following fighter designations will count the F-17 as a design.
