I have a 5 hour layover in CDG airport next week and was hoping to get a good french meal somewhere. seeing as i have 5 hours to kill, a sit down place would preferable, but is not absolutely necessary. Am flying AF, and will be in terminals 2E and 2F. Any rec's out there?

Options for that should be rather scarce at CDG.
Have a look at the restaurants in the connection building between Terminals 2D and 2B, but telling from passing by, they often are rather full.

Also the basement of T1 has a few restaurants - and things are a bit less hectic down there.

Furthermore, the Hilton at the train station between 2CD and 2EF has a restaurant, too:

All in all, be prepared that it might be hard to find bargains at CDG ...

The best would probably be the restaurant of the Sheraton hotel which is directly connected to T2 (between 2E/2F and 2C/2D above the TGV/RER station. Very convenient as you don't need to go out of the airport. Also, in 2F there was a Flo restaurant. I've been several years ago and I don't know if it still exists but nothing special to remember about.

The Air France staff canteen in Roissypole (you can see it from the far end of Roissy 1 RER station) is fantastic. But you'll have to be able to talk your way in past the security guards...

Also on Roissy 1 RER station is a cheap (for CDG) place which sells different pre-prepared meals, that you microwave. Interesting concept for fast food! though not exactly the style of food you're after.
