A close friend id traveling to Bangkok on September and when booking, there are so many options that he has no idea which to choose. Results bring out All Nippon, JAL, China Airlines, Asiana and Eva Air, among others. Heś traveling from any western City in USA, and well, I would like to know what you guys think, based on your experience, is the best option to travel on coach.

Also, what else do you recommend he should do / avoid/ check in Thailand.

Thanks you all!

Can't go wrong with either EVA or China..best value for the $$$, the times I gone I used the late night flight from LAX and arrived in BKK around mid-day, which I think is just perfect to get used to the time difference etc.

take the thai airways a340-500 really comfortable flight lax-bkk awesome service

another good option is cathay via lax/sfo-hkg now that they have brand new cabins

also they offer some good stopover deals in hkg,,

Of course, the question is will the TG flight still be available in September, apparently TG is discontinuing it sometime in September.

If it's still avalible, it is one of the best options. I took it last year and I'm going to be flying it in a few weeks.
