Im going on a trip to London and will be flying BOS-LHR...Last time i went I flew with VS in ecomomy and was pleased...is it worth it to try BA or AA or should I do VS again. In economy how does BA and AA compare with VS. I have never flew either before as I usually fly with an *A carrier but dont want to make a connection. Any help will be appriciated.

IMHO, BA is better than AA in coach, but I can't comment on VS, as I have never been on them. Plus, with BA you will get to use Terminal 5, which is brand new and by far the best terminal at Heathrow.

You wont get to use T5 with BA if you travel before 17th Sept - when Boston flights transfer from T4 to T5.

Well you COULD travel from BOS-JFK them from JFK-LHR... although that would mean extra traveling.

For me I booked BA because of terminal 5... I would suggest you try a new airline, and BA > AA in my opinion.

I have flown all 3, I'd take BA over VS and VS over AA,

If price is an issue and VS is much cheaper than BA, take VS.

IRemember the catering on BA and VS is better than AA, the former 2 also provide free bar service, no need to pony up for a beer or glass of wine with dinner.

I really agree with this post.

One point of difference. I think the food is better on VS and depending on the plane, the AVOD system has more options on VS.

I still prefer BA above the other two, as they seem more professional and .... well ... they are BA!

Also, if AA is changing that flight to a 763 then it will be mainscreen entertainment. Check the schedule to see if it's a 777 or not.

If seating is an issue, BA's 777s are 3X3X3 while AA's 777s are 2X5X2 in Y. The A346 is 2X4X2 and the 744 are 3X4X3.

VS and BA offer premium economy which is usually worth the extra.

I have never flown VS but if you are booking in Y I almost always go with foreign carriers as the euro's service in the back of the bus is better than any TATL Y product on a US carrier (admittedly my TATL experience on American carriers has been almost exclusively on DL).

I would expect that premium cabins on BA are going to be on the high extreme of the price spectrum, but they seem to have the best in that market anyway. If money is not a concern:

BA
VS
AA

Safe flying.
