Seriously now, is anyone a fan of ASA? I'm not trying to create a thread where people are going to be bashed, but don't be afraid to speak up if you really do like them. Please also state why you like them. Being an employee is not a good enough reason. If you do work for them, still state the reasons you think it's a good company and airline.
Personally, I don't see how anyone can think ASA is a good airline. I've seen some of the worst performance, communication, and actions from ASA.

I've never had a problem in my dozens of ASA flights. Of course, most of my flights are quick ones between GSO and ATL on them, but I've never had any major issues with them - nothing that distinguishable between them and several other DL Connection carriers I've been on.

I personally am NOT a fan of them after working with them and flying on several of their flights. They operate the majority of the flights for DL out of OMA here so I have to deal with them every day. I was especially frustrated with them last Sunday after they cancelled one ATL flight for MTC and delayed another 4 and 1/2 hours, also due to MTC. Then when the 4 and 1/2 hour late flight showed up, they handed me two UMNRs and needed a wheelchair after calling in range with "No specials." I could've killed the crew. As a pax, I have had my fair share of delayed ATL-OMA flights on them but thankfully they've never cancelled when I was nonreving. However, I'm sure the day is coming. Their flight control is pitiful and the people there act like their doing you a favor by getting the flight release ready more than 20 min before departure. I've also had it in with a few of their flight attendents who have been rude to me.
One of the few people I like at ASA is my buddy Adam Wright who is an F/O on the 700 for them. He's alright....

I like some of their F.A's. I had a couple of real jokesters in the past. One on a ATL-DTW
trip and the other FNT-ATL. Perhaps they were warming up to move over to Southwest.
Those girls were comical compared to most F.A.'s in the industry.

DLX,
i think you will find those issues with every DLC/UAX carrier out there except for maybe skywest...they seem to have the stuff together when it comes to releases and fuel loads at least 1 hr out,but they can also have some bad days once in a blue moon...the no specials on the in range call could easily be taken care of. at ual we have access in the computer to all the specials coming out of lax so we know even before the a/c takes off what we need to have waiting regardless of what the crew says they need....i dont know if you have that available to you on the delta system.

We have that option too. However, after spending hours rebooking 100 inconvenienced pax, I had no time to check that info on the computer before the plane's arrival. Partially my fault, yes, but it was just the straw that broke the camel's back that day. After getting bitched at by 100 people thanks to ASA, needless to say I wasn't going to be overly nice to any ASA employee I saw that day.
