I'm sorry...why would anyone look to "Wired" for accurate aviation analysis?

Most of their choices are developmental, prototype, and bleeding-edge aircraft. It isn't difficult to fail when you are seriously pushing the state of the art.

This article is devoid of any serious merit. I'm not saying these are great aircraft by any means, but their selection criteria is shallow and seemingly random.

For comfort, the worst I experienced was the J-41.
A middle seat on 757 from DTW-PHX or DTW-SEA was better.
safe

I only noticed it in one of my non-aviation RSS feeds and thought that *somebody* might be interested... or want to leave a comment there criticising the article.  Smile

Sorry if you thought I was criticising you, Allrite! I am glad that you posted it, but my point was that "Wired" isn't really a fount of knowledge about aviation!

It's all good!  cheerful

The EMB-110 with an 18-19 seat interior has to be the worst. Of course, the last row of seats in any DC-9 aircraft can be misery too. The BN-2A Islander was noisy and didn't have air conditioning.

I am presuming that you aren't seriously suggesting that the DC-9 is one of the 10 worst aircraft in history...

Beechcraft Starship

Blasphemy!

The complete and total lack of CRJ variants is evidence enough that the list is inaccurate.

Jeez, they think the Comet sucks? What about all the Comet 4s?

Beechcraft Starship

Idiots.
